Participants using Rethink Osteoporosis at ASBMR 2019. The booth mural is AMG156B. This is an augmented reality activity in which participants use an iPad to scan a virtual patient and her skeleton to find touchpoints. There are five touch points: hip; vertebra; wrist; humerus; clavicle. Tapping a touchpoint reveals information about fractures at that location and a question intended to spark discussion with an Amgen RML. The project

We designed this medical augmented reality (AR) experience as a quick and fun way to engage bone health specialists with important osteoporosis disease state awareness information. Using an iPad, participants reveal a virtual patient. Walking around, they reveal her skeleton and discover common sites of fragility fracture. Clinical questions stimulate conversation with onsite medical liasons and analytics provide our client with post-congress metrics. This medical AR experience launched at ASBMR 2019.
